From draw 12 shifted across behind runners early, in rear pair 6Ls off the steady pace, held up and unable to improve position from home turn to early straight, closed well final 250M to go 2nd near line but no match for winner.

Emerged as leader passing 950M, led steadily to straight, fought on well headed by winner 70M out, lost 2nd last stride.

Caught wide no cover from draw 11, pressed forward to race outside leader, didn't quicken on straightening but kept on evenly to hold 4th.
