From a wide draw crossed to race outside leader, responded well when asked to raise his effort inside 400M, joined the lead 100M and had the measure of the runner-up near line.
2着KING AL AKBAR　　K C Leung　　(XB/H/TT)

Soon led, broke away from the field passing 1000M, had 2Ls advantage going into 400M, battled on when strongly challenged final 200M, headed close home.
3着OUTDOOR PEGASUS　　P Strydom　　(TT)

Up with the early pace then dropped back to midfield, pushed to a 3-wide spot without cover near 1200M, moved into contention nearing 600M, kept on to the line but couldn't quite get to the first two.
4着HOT SHOT　　M Du Plessis　　(TT)

Reserved in mid-division, saved ground on the inside, went 4th 300M out, kept on to the line but couldn't get on terms with the leaders.
5着STRAIGHT FORWARD　　M Chadwick　　(SW1/TT)

Began very awkwardly and knuckled over at the start, ended up almost 10Ls back at the rear, into clear 350M, stayed on well, nearest finish.
