Began fairly and soon detached, given reminders entering home straight and responded well inside final 300 metres to score an emphatic win close to home.

2着LUCKY EXPRESS　　A Hamelin　　(B/E/TT)

Began fairly from a wide gate, settled in7th about 4L off the pace, commenced move rounding home bend, baulked for a run in straight until after the 300 metres, ran on well only to find the winner too strong at the finish.
3着HEALTHY HAPPY　　K Teetan　　(V/TT)

Began well from the widest gate sharing early lead near the centre of the back straight, held slender advantage rounding home bend and driven over 1L clear after straightening, tiring when swamped inside final 50 metres.
4着BLAZE WARRIOR　　J Moreira　　(B/TT)

Quickly recovered to 8th some 6L off the pace after moderate start, commenced move 4-wide from 650M on home bend, ran on under pressure in straight to reach 2nd briefly 200M out, made no further impression.

Settled in 6th on the rail some 3L off the pace, commenced move 3-wide on top of home bend, turned home to hold some chance early in straight but could only produce moderate response under pressure.

Travelled keenly in one-back position 3-wide without cover, hung in under pressure and a difficult ride in home straight. (Tactic questioned)

Travelled keenly in one back position on the rail just behind race leader, tight between runners when given reminders early in straight, faded steadily shortly passing the 200 metres.
