7th with cover 7Ls from the pace at halfway, crept closer at last bend and quickened up to hit the front about 150 M out, ridden out to score.
2着ENERGETIC BOY　　B Prebble　　(B)

Quietly ridden as usual, tracking winner FUJIAN PRINCE about 8Ls off early tempo, remained a similar margin from the winner, still ran a clear 2nd.
3着COVER BOY　　Y T Cheng　　(B/SR)

Trapped 3-wide no cover before leading 1200 M and darting 4Ls clear at halfway, headed by quinella pair inside final furlong and all out to hold 3rd.
4着EPEE DE HUA　　H W Lai　　(B2)

Always to the fore enjoying a soft trail on the fence in 3rd or 4th, closer in 2nd or 3rd and with every chance from 400 M to 200 M, no excuse not to place.
5着SPRING SMILES　　O Doleuze

Went back from wide gate, 12Ls last at the 800 M, 9Ls adrift turning for home, made up good late ground to be nearest at finish.

5Ls behind early pace, caught 3-wide no cover on circle and still 5Ls back off last bend, briefly with place prospects at 200 M, couldn't follow up. (Questioned.)

Handily placed in 4th or 5th with cover no worse than 5Ls from the pace through first half, all out to remain in touch off final bend, dropped out.

Crossed from wide gate to lead by 2Ls early on, 3Ls back in 2nd at halfway, struggling to keep up in 4th taking last corner, faded out tamely. (Tactic questioned.)

On fence in 8th or so between 6Ls and 8Ls from pace until the last turn, found nothing off the bridle.

Poor effort, always a long way back at the tail of the field, in trouble 600 M out and eased down final 200 M.
