Slow into stride, shifted across behind runners and settled four-back, the rail. Improved position back stretch, swung wide into straight, finished strongly down centre track for close win.
2着CONFUCIUS ELITE　　O Doleuze　　(B)

Began well, crossed to fence before first turn, settling in box seat behind leader. Came off fence 300m and battled on strongly to the line to just miss.
3着EN CIVIL　　D Whyte　　(B/H/XB)

Jumped best, raced in lead but wide to first turn, before cutting to rail 1200m. Kicked ahead top of straight and kept on well until run down closing stages.
4着TRUE COMMENT　　N Rawiller　　(B/TT)

Ridden along early, settling three-back the fence. Stayed on fence around turn and kept on steadily in straight until 100m when steadied and shifted out from heels.
5着DIAMOND FRIENDS　　J Moreira　　(H/P)

Raced tightly between horses early before settling behind midfield in a one-out position. Had clear run in straight, making ground steadily without looking dangerous.
6着SAFARI MAGIC　　H N Wong　　(CP/XB/TT)

Began awkwardly and lost ground, then steadied 1300m dropping to near last. Stayed on fence around turn and kept on fairly in straight. Tactics queried by stewards.
7着WIN ALONG　　H W Lai　　(B/TT)

No much early speed, settling along fence behind midfield. Switched out to get run in the straight and kept on fairly to the line.
8着HEALTH WISE　　K C Leung　　(P)

Steadied shortly after start before cutting closer to rail at first turn. Kept on steadily in straight to 200m before tiring.

Pressed forward from inside draw to sit one-out, one-back at first turn. Put under pressure turning for home but found nothing and gradually drifted back.

Ridden to get forward position and held three-wide without cover. Spent force when put under pressure turning for home.
11着FRESH AND FRESH　　C K Tong　　(B)

Began fairly, no speed, racing at rear in one-out position. Lost contact with the field turning for home and finished tailed off. Unacceptable performance.

Had head down when gates opened, losing considerable ground. Ridden to make up loss, racing three and four wide to get within 4L of leader at the 700m before tiring.
13着SAMMY'S EMPIRE　　M Chadwick　　(B-/H1/SR1)

Ridden along early but failed to muster, gradually drifting back until losing contact with main field at the turn. Finished tailed off. Unacceptable performance.
