Positioned in midfield and always going nicely, made smooth headway to join the leaders near 200 M, came clear and soon had the race won in good style.
2着DANESIS　　M Chadwick　　(TT)

Up with the pace early before emerging as the clear cut leader near 1300 M, kept on well in straight only to find the winner too strong.
3着BEST FRIEND　　D Whyte　　(B)

Held up behind midfield 4 to 5Ls back, squeezed through to challenge inside 400 M, stayed on well to miss out narrowly on 2nd.
4着BERIO　　R Fradd　　(XB/SW1)

Settled 3Ls back in midfield along the fence, box-seated early in straight but had every chance when cleared for a run 300 M out, unable to step up a gear and just held ground in the run to the line.
5着TOP HONOR　　Y T Cheng　　(B)

Drawn wide and was gradually eased back to the rear obtaining cover, 5Ls to make up going into straight, stayed on down the outside without troubling the principals.
6着SPECIAL DRAGON　　M W Leung　　(TT)

Prominent early but was shuffled back to midfield rounding the home bend, steadied near 400 M to obtain a run but couldn't find much when cleared.
7着REAL SPECIAL　　C W Wong　　(XB)

Began awkwardly, raced in a 3-wide position towards the rear, 4Ls down passing 400 M and could only plug on at the same pace.
8着FEARLESS　　K C Leung　　(B)

Switched off to the rear 8Ls behind leaders and used little in running, switched wide to challenge in straight but responded only fairly.
9着HOME TREASURE　　M Du Plessis

Went forward as expected, raced along the fence one back from leader, looked a threat early in straight but found no extra inside 200 M giving impression that the step up in trip did not suit.
10着TOM'S SIX　　C K Tong　　(SW)

Assumed a rail position behind midfield, under pressure from 600 M and dropped away quickly passing 250 M. Tailed out.
11着GEM OF CHIU TON　　B Doyle　　(B)

Awkwardly away, 3-wide in midfield but was left without cover from 1200 M, gradually strode forward to race alongside leader, weakened rapidly inside 400 M. Tailed out. (Jockey and trainer questioned.)
