1着BEAR MACHO　　E Saint-Martin

Well enough away, drifted back to hold a midfield position 4Ls back, travelled well for much of the way, picked up well 300 M out and readily came clear inside 100 M to record a cosy success.
2着NOBLE MAN　　W M Lai

Taken back on jumping, crossed over to the rail and settled in a rearward position about 5Ls back, used little in running, into clear 300 M, ran on well and did his best to bridge the gap between the winner.
3着ESPERANZA　　C K Tong　　(B)

Away with them, maintained a spot on the outside of mid-division 3-4Ls behind, crept closer making the home turn, briefly led near 200 M but was soon put in place by the winner and could not hold on to 2nd late on.
4着BEAUTIFUL DREAMER　　B Prebble　　(B)

Jumped well from the inside barrier, had a nice trail along the fence in mid-division, ready to strike turning in but had to be shifted out for a clear run, made ground inside 200 M to finish nearest on the line.
5着LOLLIPOP　　O Doleuze　　(B/H/TT)

Awkwardly away and lost ground, assumed a rearward position 5Ls off the pace, made its move rounding the home turn, ran on respectably down the outside but found no extra over the final stages.
6着HONGKONG SUPERSTAR　　D Whyte　　(SW/TT)

Bounced out, restrained to sit behind leaders who were setting a steady tempo, close enough turning for home but didn't enjoy the clearest of runs in straight. Checked near 250 M and 50 M.
7着WILLING STORM　　Z Purton　　(H)

Jumped well, always prominent behind leaders, emerged as the main threat coming off the bend, asked to go near 250 M, unable to quicken up and could only hold ground to line.
8着STREET CAT　　J Victoire　　(TT1)

Bounced in the air as they began and lost ground, shaken up to remain in touch with the group, had 6Ls to make up turning into straight, given a huge task but was able to make some headway inside 150 M.
9着THUNDER FLASH　　M Du Plessis　　(TT)

Slow to begin, held up patiently in the rear trailing 6-7Ls to leader. Switched wide coming off the bend, made even progress down the outside without threatening.
10着TEAM WORK　　M L Yeung

Hard driven leaving the stalls, unable to cross and was caught wide throughout, moved up alongside leaders on turning. Struggled from 200 M and faded gradually in run to line.
11着DIAMOND BRILLIANCE　　H W Lai　　(B/TT)

Quickly into stride, up with the early speed and took a sit behind the leader, travelled comfortably along the rail, boxed in on straightening and was unable to improve throughout. Not tested.
12着ADAIKALI　　K C Leung　　(V)

Shot out of the stalls, unable to cross to rail and led field in a 2-wide position till 500 M, had slim advantage on straightening but was soon headed, gave ground from 200 M. (Lame next day.)
