Began well before easing back to be handily place 5th, 1 off the fence. Stoked up from the 300m, easily passed early leader 100m and only had one challenger late.
2着KEY WITNESS　　D Whyte　　(B/TT)

Began OK, and steadied early to sit midfield, on the fence. Ran solidly in the early part of the straight before kicking from the 200m. Finished off strongly, and just held out late.
3着GO BABY GO　　K K Chiong　　(B)

Pushed out early to take a big early lead, 2.5L ahead of 2nd. Still ahead at 100m but already weakening noticeably and faded late, and easily taken by first 2, but holding the place.
4着SECRET COMMAND　　J Moreira　　(B-/V1/TT)

Away OK before dropping back to sit worse than midfield, 1 off the fence. Ran OK in the straight before looking to have peaked at 200m. Found a second wind at 100m, and finished well.
5着OUR FOLKS　　M Chadwick　　(TT)

Pushed forward from the wide barrier to sit 2nd, on the rail 2.5L behind the leader. Well placed on the turn, and ran OK in the straight but never produced a big kick.
6着WHY WHY　　O Doleuze　　(B/TT)

Lifted front feet on jumping and was slow to begin, settling last, 10L off the leader. In the last couple on the turn, but finished off OK late.
7着MY LITTLE FRIEND　　M L Yeung　　(B-/TT)

Worse than midfield early, on the rails 7L off the leader. Looked to run on from the turn, but 1 paced in the straight and only eased to the line late.
8着WINSTON'S LAD　　K C Leung　　(H)

Dropped back early to sit 3rd last, 3 wide. Came widest on the turn, but only went to the line fairly and was eased late.
9着PABLOSKY　　H N Wong　　(P-/H/SR2)

Pushed forward early to be handily placed 4th on the rail, 4L off the early leader. Didn't respond in the in the run home, drifting back in the straight.
10着COUNTRY MELODY　　B Prebble　　(H)

OK away and initially stuck 3-4 wide with no cover, forward of midfield before moving forward at 800m to be 3rd, 1 off the fence. OK early in the straight, but tapped out at the 200m and dropped back.
11着SILLY BUDDIES　　K C Ng　　(P-)

Fairly away and got back early to be 2nd last, 1 off the fence. Under pressure before the turn, ran flat in the straight and never made an impression.
12着PRINCIPAL　　H W Lai

Began OK and taken to sit worse than midfield, 3-4 wide with limited cover. Didn't have much in the tank by the turn, never responded to riding in the straight and dropped out quickly.
