Began well before settling better than midfield in 5th, drifted back to midfield in 7th onto home bend, obtained run 350 metres out, ran on well despite hanging in to snatch victory from tiring leader close to home.

Pressed forward from a wide gate to circle the field early, led on the rail inside the 1300 metres kicking over 2.5L clear early in back straight, quickened up the pace again on home bend and 3L ahead turning in, caught close to home.

Travelled 3-wide without cover most of the way, in midfield to half-way when allowed to make swift headway around the field passing the 900 metres reaching 3L 3rd on the bend, kept on same pace under pressure.

Settled in midfield on the rail, inconvenienced and lost position 700 metres out, renewed effort from 9th rounding home bend, ran on under pressure without threatening. (Lame next day)
