Jumped fairly, settled in rear of midfield on rails, switched out for a run entering straight, ran on well under pressure to assert authority closing stages while hanging in throughout.

Soon took up running, led until joined by two runners around the bend, kicked about 3L clear 200 metres out but soon flattered, caught inside final 50 metres.

Sluggish at start and soon dropped to tail-end, trailed the field to straight, finished off race well between runners down the inside of the track.

Crowded at start dropping to last few, commenced move rounding home bend, made up good ground from 10th into straight to be nearest at finish.
