Had soft run in midfield between runners throughout. Eased wider entering last section, cornered the widest before dashing well to share lead near 100m before overpowered by winner late. Held second.
3着	VICTORIA GENERAL　　B Shinn　　(H1)
Lost ground after start before settling last. Continued at rear, 7L from lead entering last section before making strong late ground to charge to fast finishing third along inside in closing stages. (Rider questioned).
4着	ONE HAPPY STAR　　A Hamelin
Showed good speed after the start to lead before crossing to rail near the 1000m. Held lead until being joined near the 100m before yielding a length or two late to hold 4th on line.

Drifted back soon after start before racing third last away from rail. Continued near rear, over 6L from lead entering last section before making some late headway when running on to non-threatening midfield finish.

Began well from inside barrier before being crossed & racing behind the leader from 1000m. Entered last section only 2.5L from lead, improved to be 1.5L behind at 200m before emptying out & giving a few lengths thereafter.

Attempted to be steadied after start before racing keenly after first bend & improving to race in midfield, 3 wide with cover. Continued to improve passing the 500m, cornered 2L from lead before weakening in last furlong.

Raced second outside the lead in middle stages before getting some cover momentarily near the 600m. Entered last section under 2L from lead, peaked on effort soon after straightening & weakened out. (Lame post-race).

Began awkwardly & raced near the rear throughout. Relegated to share last place entering last section 7L from lead, stayed along rail in straight, finishing off evenly before short of room passing the 100m. No threat.

Raced prominently after start but caught 3 wide without cover before working hard to improve & race outside leader from 600m. Continued outside leader on straightening, emptied out soon after & weakened sharply last furlong.

Failed to muster speed after start & raced very wide without cover in middle stages before shifting to 3 wide line near the 650m. Weakened out in the straight & was second last.
