Broke well, settled just off the pace, soon hit the front after the 400 metres and soon drew over 1L clear, just held on to the line.

Settled in last few, snuck up on the rail rounding home bend, inconvenienced after straightening, ran on under pressure to be nearest at finish.

Niggled at early along the rail improving gradually to close-up 4th rounding home bend, gained 3rd into the straight and 2nd passing the 300 metres, kept on steadily but caught for 2nd inside the final 100 metres.

Travelled keenly in better than midfield, drifted back to just worse than midfield in 8th rounding home bend, shifted wide into the straight, ran on steadily without threatening. (Lame next day)
