Jumped well, soon crossed and shared lead, acted well on this soft going and quickened nicely clear 400 M out, kept on strongly to the line and went beyond recall.
2着MARK UP　　D Whyte

Broke well from the inside draw and enjoyed a smooth run along the fence, close enough on turning, ran on determinedly inside 400 M but couldn't match the winner's acceleration on this soft going.
3着NEW LEADER　　J Lloyd　　(B1)

Settled well in a 3-wide position in midfield, showed a good attitude and picked up well on straightening, edged right under pressure inside 100 M but still ran on.
4着PENGLAI XIANZI　　M Chadwick　　(TT)

Away with them, gradually moved up to a prominent position tracking the leaders, couldn't show a turn of foot on this soft going and plugged on for 4th.
5着FUN RIDER　　W C Marwing

Ordinary jump, towards the rear early but took closer order in midfield before making the turn, taken wide near 350 M for a clear run and closed off the race reasonably.
6着LEGEND EXPRESS　　C K Tong　　(B)

Vigorously driven forward after the start but was hampered near 1200 M, ended up in midfield 3Ls back, found less than expected and remained one-paced in the finish.
7着HEALTHY BLUEBERRY　　Y T Cheng

Recovered from a slow start and settled in midfield 4Ls back, appeared to have every chance down the inside but had no more to give 200 M from home.

In the middle of the front rank disputing the lead, hung out inside 400 M, gradually weakened and didn't see out the final 100 M.

Prominent early, steadied near 800 M and shuffled back to midfield, tracked only fairly and couldn't find anything when pressed in straight. Dropped out close home.
10着BE GRATEFUL　　A Gryder

Went forward on jumping from a wide barrier and raced 3-wide outside the lead, gave ground rapidly from 400 M.
11着CRIMSON LUCK　　K C Leung

Well enough away, gradually dropped back to last before the home turn, had 9Ls to make up passing 400 M but couldn't pick up at all on this yielding surface.
12着SOLITAIRE　　W Pike　　(SW-/B1)

Ended up in the rear after a sluggish start, had to be shaken up approaching 800 M, soon beaten coming off the bend.

Towards the rear 7Ls behind, lacked pace and was under serious pressure to stay in touch over the turn, never a factor.
