Crowded early, before dropping back to the rear of the field. Had a clear run from the top of the straight but bumped and unbalanced 350m. Showed good turn of foot from 200m. Was still pulling away despite being eased late.
2着CALIFORNIA JOY　　N Callan　　(B/TT)

Eased out early to settle midfield. Pushed forward to be well placed 5th at 800m. Strong early in the straight and nosed in front at 200m. Faded in the last 100m, but far enough clear to hold 2nd.
3着PLAY WISE　　S Clipperton　　(B/XB1/TT)

Dropped back early from the wide draw to sit 2nd last. Had clear running from 250m. Strong late and was making ground on 2nd.
4着SHAMPORT　　J Moreira　　(B1)

Cruised forward to settle around midfield. Wider at 350m. Showed paced last 150m and was gaining on 3rd late.
5着DOLLAR REWARD　　M L Yeung　　(TT)

Keen when being steadied for cover early, before settling 2nd/3rd, 1 off the fence. Led early in the straight, but couldn't maintain the effort and dropped out from 200m.
6着FALCON TURBO　　D Whyte

Dropped back early from the wide draw to sit worse than midfield. Came out off heels for run at top of the straight, but had to switch back in as that closed. Only stayed on 1 paced late.
7着BIG BANG BONG　　O Doleuze　　(TT)

Eased forward to settle midfield, 3-4 wide with no cover. Widest on the turn, bumped 350m but only went to the line 1 paced.
8着AMAZING　　K Teetan

Slowly away but recovered well to settle around midfield. Severely checked and lost a couple of lengths at 900m. Struggled to get back into rhythm. Stayed on steadily in straight, but no hope of recovering.
9着ROMAN ODYSSEY　　C Y Ho　　(TT)

Pushed forward early to sit 2nd. Checked off heels when crossed and tempo switched off at 900m. Showed no speed in the straight and dropped out from 250m.
10着BLAZING PARTNERS　　K C Ng

Began awkwardly and dropped back to a clear last. 1 paced in the straight and only passed a couple that had packed up.
11着RIGHT CALL　　H N Wong　　(B/TT)

Pressed forward early to be well placed 3rd/4th on the fence. Checked and lost ground 900m. Already dropping out before the turn and was checked off heels 400m but made no impact in the straight.
12着MYTHICAL EMPEROR　　K C Leung　　(B/TT)

Pushed forward to lead and was allowed to cross to fence 900m. Eased the pace at that point and caused carnage behind. Gave nothing in the straight and packed up at 200m.
13着STORM SOLDIER　　A Sanna　　(SR/TT)

Very wide in midfield, until pressing to share the lead at 900m. Dropped out very quickly from 400m and played no part. Vet- Blood in trachea.
