Bumped on jumping, before being eased forward early to sit just forward of midfield, on the rail. Smoked the pipe until coming around heels for a run 200m. Pulled away and just held off a fast finishing 2nd late.
2着SANTA FE SUN　　C Williams　　(B/TT)

Cruised forward early, settling midfield, on the rail. Came wider in the straight, and ran very strongly over the last 150m, and just missed on the line.
3着APOLLO'S CHOICE　　Z Purton　　(B)

Began well and elected to move forward early to race in 2nd. Grabbed the lead at 250 and ran well, before peaking at the 50m, and just holding a place.
4着CHEEKY TOO　　G Mosse　　(CP)

Taken forward from the wide draw to be handily placed in 4th, 3 wide with no cover. Loomed into 2nd at the 200m, and held until 50m before peaking late.
5着PAKISTAN STAR　　M Chadwick　　(B/H/TT)

Dropped back to sit at the tail of the field early. Came widest on the turn and ran home strongly, but was left with too much to do in the straight.
6着TONYBOY　　M L Yeung　　(V/TT)

Eased forward early to sit midfield, 1 off the fence. Ran solidly in the straight, without pressuring for a place.
7着LITTLE DRAGON　　K C Leung

Taken up early to be handily placed, 4th/5th and 1 off the fence. Plugged away steadily late, without ever threatening.
8着WESTERN EXPRESS　　J Moreira

Eased back early from the wide draw to sit behind midfield, 3-4 wide with limited cover. Didn't show a great turn of foot in the straight, and went to the line only fairly.

Dawdled out of the gate and dropped back early to sit towards the rear of the field, 1 off the fence. Held up early in the straight and slightly 1 paced when initially clear, before picking up the tempo late.
10着HIGH AND MIGHTY　　D Lane　　(H/XB)

Very slow to begin, and pushed up to sit forward of midfield, on the fence. Only 1 paced in the straight, and awkward on heels near the finish.
11着LITTERATEUR　　A Badel

Keen when pushing forward early to sit 3rd, on the fence. Struggled to run on in the straight, and dropped back from the 250m.
12着SPICY SURE　　N Callan　　(TT)

Taken up early to lead. Started to fade from the 300m, and dropped out from there.
13着LUCKY GIRL　　S de Sousa

Dropped back to unfamiliar position in midfield and fought the jockey consistently up the back straight, being awkwardly placed on heels multiple times. Had nothing left in the tank in the straight. Trainer and jockey questioned.

Dropped back from the wide draw to sit 2nd last early. Pushed out in the straight, but couldn't improve.
