Taken well back from a wide gate, waited with at the tail-end of the field, switched widest to challenge turning in, ran on well but unable to match pace of winner inside the final 200 metres.

Settled 3-wide in midfield, in similar position rounding home bend, no clear run after straightening and hampered by winner over 300 metres out, recovered well under pressure to be nearest at finish.
