Allowed to drift back and raced 3-wide in rear division 4-5Ls back, improved with trail to bend, into clear running at 300 M, let down smartly and quickly had rivals covered, drew away final 200 M to win easily.
2着CHAMPION LAD　　W C Marwing　　(XB/TT)

Began well, pressed on from a wide gate to race outside lead, relaxed well in run, travelled strongly and took over shortly after turning in, held advantage to 200 M but no match with winner's turn of foot late.
3着GOOD GAINS　　K C Leung

Out in line, ended up 3Ls away on rails, enjoyed a good trail in mid-section, still behind horses turning, made good progress along inside to take placing.
4着WIN AGAIN　　S K Sit　　(B)

Away nicely, took ideal spot behind leader on rails, not made use of to bend, eased out turning in and looked a brief threat at 300 M, just maintained same pace in run to line.
5着DILIGENT II　　J Victoire　　(XB)

No real speed, positioned 5Ls away on rails, enjoyed a quiet run throughout, steadied and in traffic when turning, made steady ground along inside in straight.
6着VICTORY TREASURE　　O Doleuze　　(B/TT)

Standard jump, failed to muster and ended up in midfield 4Ls away, had a good run to bend, improved between horses at 400 M, looked a place hope inside 250 M but couldn't dash at business-end.
7着NOBLE HEART　　M Du Plessis　　(B/TT)

Only fair to begin, settled behind midfield 5Ls back in running line, same margin down turning, tracked through at 350 M but just kept on at one speed thereafter.
8着SUPER CAGA　　Z Purton

Amongst first few to jump, positioned nicely 1 out 1 back 2Ls away, had no excuses to bend, eased 4-wide on straightening, improved briefly but peaked at 250 M and just held ground thereafter.
9着SUPER BABY　　H W Lai　　(TT)

No pace early, drifted back to 2nd last 6-7Ls back in running line, not asked to bend, made a wide run turning in, some limited progress to 200 M but plugged thereafter.
10着GREAT SHOW　　Y T Cheng　　(B1)

Limited pace early and soon at tail, raced 7Ls off pace on fence, still same margin down rounding bend, steadied at 300 M when improving, didn't get much of a crack thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)
11着WIND KNIGHT　　M L Yeung　　(SR)

Bounced out, went on to race more prominently leading field up, set an even tempo in front, shaded soon after turning in, didn't fight and gradually weakened out.
12着PACIFICO　　E Saint-Martin

Began fairly, went forward but forced to cover ground, raced 2Ls back with cover in mid-section, 4-wide turning but lacked extra gear in straight and just battled.
13着TRIUMPHANT DIAMOND　　K T Yeung　　(SW)

Out with them, pressed forward however unable to slot in, posted 3-wide without cover outside of leaders, still challenging rounding bend, soon under pressure when hard run took toll, faded quickly.
