From a wide gate, settled 1 out 1 back. Stalked the leaders throughout and in the straight let down smartly to find the lead and had the race in its keeping a long way out.
2着HEARTLINE　　G Gomez　　(SW/TT)

Settled early behind the speed along the fence. Commenced to shift away from the rail after the 600 M, ran on soundly.
3着BOLERO　　W C Marwing　　(TT)

Settled around midfield, 2 deep with cover. Lost some ground near the 700 M, however worked home well.
4着SILVER BLAZE　　B Prebble

Settled back in the field from a wide gate, 2 deep with cover. Ran on nicely.
5着WISE LOVER　　G Mosse　　(B)

Failed to muster any early speed despite being ridden along and settled with the backmakers, 1 off with cover. Made good late ground.
6着ACHILLES OF TROY　　D Oliver　　(TT)

Began awkwardly and settled along the fence behind midfield. From on straightening until near the 200 M was held up and was unable to improve. Got to the post well once it saw daylight.
7着FINN MACCOOL　　C Soumillon

Travelled in midfield on the fence. Commenced to move way from the rail near the 600 M and ranged up nicely early in the straight but failed to sustain its effort late.
8着TRULLI　　E Saint-Martin　　(B/TT)

Slow to begin and raced in last position. Closed off well in the run home.
9着ENCHANTED　　C Brown　　(B1/TT)

Began awkwardly, then did not muster speed and travelled wide and without cover for the major part of the race, midfield. Run took its toll over the concluding stages.
10着MY WHISKY　　Y T Cheng

Was one of the early leaders, 2-wide but by the 600 M had taken up a trailing position along the paint. Was slightly held up early in the straight but didn't quicken much afterwards.
11着LUCKY RED　　W M Lai

Worked forward to be the early leader before handing up near the 700 M. Ended up racing 3 back the fence and struggled thereafter.
12着THUNDER FLASH　　K L Chui　　(TT)

Parked behind the leader along the fence early before being shuffled back mid-race. Peeled out turning for home to make its run but didn't quicken and weakened noticeably over the final stages.
13着OASIS DAVIS　　B Doyle　　(SR1)

Slow to begin and settled in 2nd last position. Failed to make any ground in the straight.
14着KUNG FU　　O Doleuze　　(P)

Spent plenty of early petrol in pressing forward from wide out to cross and lead along the fence by the 700 M. Was completely gassed by the home turn. (Blood in the trachea.)
