2-wide at midfield to the Rock. Improved to the back of leaders making home turn. Well positioned to strike in the straight. Responded well when asked and took charge near the post.
2着COMPACT YARN　　H W Lai　　(B)

Driven forward but trapped 3-wide approaching winning post first occasion. Slotted 2-wide behind pace at 1300M. Shared lead home turn. Held a 1L advantage 200M but failed to repel the winner close to home.
3着MACASSAR　　Y T Cheng　　(B/SR)

Missed the start. Soon shaken up to race towards on fence. Shifted 2-wide back straight and progressed gradually to midfield entering home straight. Kept on well for 3rd.
4着MY WAY　　W C Marwing

3-wide at midfield early stages. Left without cover from the Rock. Progressed to leaders' back rounding home turn. Remained one-paced in the straight.
5着HOME WITH GLORY　　B Doyle　　(B)

Taken to 2-wide at rear from high draw. Swung widest and was last turning into home. Covered good ground in the straight.

Eased to race on fence behind midfield after start. Ended up towards rear when trapped on fence home turn. Peeled out on straightening and made up some late ground.

Urged forward. Eventually found the fence and led at 1100M. Took seat from the Rock to home straight. Couldn't turn up notch thereafter.

Niggled along the fence early and elected to sit ahead of midfield first turn. Gradually dropped towards rear approaching home turn when unable to improve. Held ground in the straight.

Began well but insufficient early speed to cut across. Ended up 3-wide at rear first turn. No impression thereafter.

Well enough away. Got the fence and handed up lead 1200M. Dropped to midfield middle stages and further back on straightening. Couldn't pick up final stages.
