Comments

1MERIDIAN PRIDE  G Mosse  (B)

Out in line, assumed ideal spot 2 to 3Ls back off pace, travelled well to bend, made run turning, hit front at 200 M and kept on well final furlong to hold off rivals.

2CHINA LUJIA  D Whyte  (B/XB)

Began OK but eased back to rear from a wide alley, raced behind midfield 6Ls off pace, suited with pace on, last and took inside runs turning, held up and finally clear at 200 M, made remarkable ground late for 2nd.

3BIG PROFIT  M Chadwick  (B)

Jumped with rest, posted 3 wide in midfield 5Ls back, did it tough without cover throughout, improved turning, kept giving in straight to get close to mark late.

4GLENEALY ELITE  B Prebble  (B/XB)

Taken back after jump, raced 5 to 6Ls back in running line, travelled well between horses on bend, steadied at 500 M into clear at 300 M and kept closing despite hanging to make frame.

5FEVER PITCH  Z Purton  (H/TT1)

Slow into stride and lost considerable ground, settled last 7Ls off pace, aided by solid pace on, switched wide on turning, made lengths down middle in straight to be nearest on line.

6SUPER CHARGE  M L Yeung

Out with rest, taken back to race 6Ls away at rear, still well back turning and searching for runs early in straight, made solid progress down middle in straight.

7NAMJONG FIGHTERS  B Doyle  (B2/TT)

Began better than normal, assumed a midfield spot 4Ls away between horses, tracked well to bend, kept on fairly between horses in straight just holding ground in run to line.

8REUNION  J Victoire  (TT)

Began nicely, went on to challenge for lead, shaded leader setting a decent pace to bend, soon took over on straightening, collared at 200 M and tired late.

9MASTER DREAMER  W M Lai  (B)

Bounced out, took a spot 4Ls away on rails, not asked in mid-section, made some fair progress turning but didn't go on with it and stayed on at same speed final 200 M.

10MOMENTOUS  C K Tong  (B)

Reasonable jump, pushed up to race 2 to 3Ls behind leader, had an easy time on bend, held up for a considerable distance after straightening, only clear last 150 M when race was over.

11FLY ME TO THE MOON  M Du Plessis  (B)

First to hit ground, in pace battle early before racing 1 out 1 back, did share of work with speed, on ridden along turning, couldn't respond and lost touch final 300 M.

12MANY GAINS  W C Marwing  (B-)

Moderate jump and restrained from wide alley, posted 4 wide 5Ls away without cover, set too great a task and used up soon after turning, flattened at 300 M.

13FLORAL PICASSO  H W Lai  (TT)

Standard beginning, unable to slot in, ended up 3 wide 5Ls back with cover, did share of work to bend, lacked a response and struggled in straight.

14WHISKY POWER  M W Leung  (H)

Average jump but showed early speed to take up running, pressured throughout and shaded on circle, niggled leaving bend, no response and didn't see out trip.
