1ONE WEE ACORN  E Saint-Martin

Awkwardly away, tucked in and obtained cover behind leader on the stand's rail, switched out near 400 M for clear passage, picked up really well and swept past his rivals inside 200 M to score with plenty in hand. Promising debut.

2ELITE SIXTY-SIX  W C Marwing

Awkwardly away and lost ground, guided to a midfield spot down the centre of track, quickened tidily to briefly strike the front inside 300 M before the winner swept by. Weakened over the final stages.

3WITHALLMYHEART  W M Lai  (TT)

Jumped well, enjoyed a trouble-free run down the middle of track, close enough approaching final 400 M, ran on well under pressure but had no answer to the winner's turn of foot inside 200 M.

4DR POSSIBLE  D Whyte

Average beginning, settled in midfield towards the far side, attempted a run down the far rail near 400 M but was hampered by a horse on its outside, ran on well thereafter despite hanging out.

5AMNESTY  Z Purton  (XB/B1)

Away with them, up there with the pace from the beginning, led steadily towards the centre of field, commenced its run entering 300 M, kept on OK to line. Decent first up.

6MAGIC KING  M L Yeung  (B/XB)

Jumped well, travelled towards the stand side within 2Ls from leaders, brought with a challenge near 350 M, loomed up as a serious contender for a brief mement but ran flat inside final 150 M. (Bled.)

7LEGEND  B Prebble

Slow into stride. Raced in the rear trailing 4Ls to leaders, drifted gradually towards the stand's rail, switched out to improve from 500 M and closed off the race strongly.

8SINGLE MALT  M Chadwick  (TT)

Shot out of the stalls, showed good early speed to take up running down the centre of track, ridden out from 300 M, failed to pick up and gradually weakened towards the line.

9KIMBERLEY  K T Yeung

Began in line, lacked early speed and had to be shaken up, travelled in a rearward position 3 to 4Ls back, under pressure from 500 M but managed to make some progress inside 300 M.

10TRAVEL CONSULTANT  C W Wong  (SR)

Awkwardly away, assumed a position in midfield towards the centre, moved up from midway and briefly hit front near 350 M, unable to sustain run, weakened rapidly inside 200 M.

11SUPER PLUS  Y T Cheng  (B)

Drawn low, took up running towards the far side, drifted in badly when placed under pressure near 400 M, unable to quicken and gave ground from 250 M.

12TREASURE PLANET  H W Lai  (P/XB/H)

Slow into stride, travelled in midfield within the group in the middle of track, asked for effort entering 400 M but didn't respond. No impression.

13GOLDEN DRUMMING  M Du Plessis  (TT1)

Well enough away from the outside barrier, rolled along the stand's rail in a prominent position, gradually outpaced from midway, found nothing when asked inside 400 M.

14BLUE MAGIC  T H So

Standard break, travelled close enough to leaders towards the far side of straight, showed signs of greenness in its running and had a tendency to hang in, struggled from 350 M, dropped out rapidly inside last 200 M.
