Comments

1KILDARE  Y T Cheng  (SR)

Standard break, assumed a rearward position 3Ls off the pace, still held up behind horses approaching 400 M, quickened well between horses to cut down the leader over the concluding stages.

2ENTHUSED  D Whyte

Jumped well, never far off the pace, gradually drifted towards the stand side, challenged for the lead inside 400 M, hung in under pressure, briefly hit front near 100 M but was overhauled by the winner in the final stages.

3YELLOW DIAMOND  C K Tong  (B)

Well enough away, prominent early before drifting back to obtain cover behind leaders, pressed on near 400 M, took time to gather and did his best work towards the finish.

4FRIENDLY GAINS  W M Lai

Quickly away, showed early speed to get to the front, crossed over to race closer to stand's side, kept on strongly when pressed by the eventual runner up, outpaced inside 100 M to finish 3rd. Not beaten far.

5DIM SUM  W C Marwing  (SW)

Raced prominently throughout down the middle of the track, kept on well under pressure near 400 M but his run appeared to flattened out inside final 100 M.

6SUNNY POWER  B Prebble  (SW1/H1)

Away in line, guided to a handy position 3 off the stand's rail, picked up only fairly when asked, ran into an awkward position near 50 M and was unable to improve from there.

7INSPIRATION  Z Purton  (XB/TT)

Settled in midfield 3-off the stand's rail, checked near 300 M, ran on without serious threat thereafter.

8DOWN TOWN  J Victoire  (TT)

Average break, travelled in midfield towards the stand's rail, never far off the pace, short of room near 300 M and was held up for about 50 M, ran on only fairly when cleared.

9NIGHTLIGN  M Du Plessis

One of the first to jump, rolled along the stand's rail to be prominent early, under pressure inside 400 M, unable to find another gear and was one-paced in its finish.

10ALWAYS GIGGLE  H W Lai  (B)

Settled near the rear 3 to 4Ls behind leader, attempted a run down the stand's rail entering 400 M but didn't pick up. No impression.

11SUPERIOR UNIT  K L Chui  (SW/TT)

Even break, assumed a position in mid-division towards the centre of track, ridden out from 350 M but lacked a finishing kick, stayed on same pace.

12JOYFUL WINNER  C W Wong  (TT)

Slow to begin and lacked early speed, travelled in a rearward spot 3 to 4Ls back, switched out for a clear passage entering 400 M but couldn't quicken, no extra inside 200 M.

13HIGH POINT  K T Yeung  (B1)

Slow to begin, travelled in the rear throughout, had to be shaken up approaching 400 M, not able to pick up and ran some way below what he is capable of.

14ISLAND SPEED  S K Sit  (B/TT)

Jumped well, taken to a spot in mid-division 4 deep from the stand's rail, gradually outpaced from halfway, soon out of contention entering 350 M, dropped out thereafter. (Bled and irregular heart rhythm.)
