Began well, soon taken back to 4th becoming over 4L off the pace briefly approaching home bend, renewed effort to gain within 2L of lead into straight, sustained effort to gain upper hand close home.

2BLAZE WARRIOR  A Badel  (B/TT)

Broke well before settling in middle in 5th of the 9-horse field, some 4L off rounding home bend, quickened well to hit the front narrowly over 200 metres out only to be denied close home.

3CIRCUIT STELLAR  Y L Chung  (H/TT)

Tracked the leaders in 3rd on the rail, baulked for a run in straight until the 250 metres, fought on under pressure to the nearest at finish. (Tactic questioned)

4THE GOLDEN SCENERY  L Ferraris  (H/TT)

Crowded at start settling well behind, snuck up on the rail entering home straight, tight behind runners early on, obtained clear passage inside the 100 metres, fought on well late.

5FANTASTIC TREASURE  M Chadwick  (CP/TT)

Settled behind midfield in 6th, baulked for a run early in straight for about 100 metres, produced good late impression inside final 150 metres.

6HEALTHY HAPPY  S De Sousa  (V/TT)

Driven forward from moderate start to share the pace, travelled keenly pulling half a length ahead briefly onto home bend, narrowly headed into straight, had no more to give under pressure and swamped inside final 200 metres.

Travelled in last few in 7th of 9-ruuner field, tightened 450 metres out turning into straight, kept on same pace without quickening.

8CHEERFUL DAYS  C Y Ho  (B)

Settled well behind from a wide gate, commenced move 3-wide rounding home bend and widest of all into straight, found nothing under pressure.

9SILVER EXPRESS  L Currie  (B)

Ridden positively from the widest gate sharing pace for the first 250 metres, remained just outside race leader in 2nd before gaining slender advantage early in home straight, folded up quickly inside final 300 metres.
