Settled 3-back the rails about 4Ls off pace through first half, peeled out at top of straight and led inside the 100 M, kept on well.

8Ls back in 9th or 10th initially, still well back turning in, no chance with winner but stayed on strongly to nick 2nd on the line.

Crossed to lead on fence at the 1300 M, led or disputed lead setting a brisk pace until the home straight, still 1L ahead at 200 M, lost 2nd final strides.

Keen around midfield early on, pressed on to dispute lead at the 600 M, 1L down in 2nd at the 200 M, did just enough to hold 4th.
