Raced second along the stand side rail, a couple of lengths behind leader in middle stages. Shifted inwards passing 300m, moved to lead near 100m mark, held off late challenger.

2STELLAR EXPRESS  Z Purton

Raced third, followed the winner for the majority. Was 4L from the lead entering last section, shifted inwards at the 250m, tried very hard, making continual ground but only being able to get within a neck on the line.
3CHEVAL VALIANT  Y L Chung  (B/TT)

Veered inwards at start before showing customary early speed to lead. Joined by winner near 100m, battled well to hold third, only beaten 1.5L on line.
4NORTHERN BEACHES  L Hewitson  (CP1)

Raced in midfield between runners. Was 5.5L from the lead passing the 400m mark, made up late ground to be beaten just over 2L into 4th.
5PLEASANT ENDEAVOR  E C W Wong  (B)

Raced just worse than midfield nearer to the center of the track. Was ridden along passing half-way, entered last section just under 6L from lead before making up a few lengths in final stages when holding midfield finish.

6FLYING HIGH  M Chadwick  (TT)

Got back to race worse than midfield between runners. Was 7L from the lead entering last section, made late progress to halve deficit on the line to finish in midfield.
7JOLLY RULER  A Atzeni  (TT)

Was crowded at the start & lost ground and raced third last along stand side rail. Was over 7L from the lead entering last section, shifted inwards at the 200m, made up a length or two but was never close.
8SUPERSONIC  B Thompson  (XB)

Was bumped at the start before racing in midfield along the stand side rail. Was over 5L from the lead entering last section when in fourth place, weakened in final furlong to finish third last.
9BULB EMPEROR  H Bentley  (B1)

Steadied after the start & taken back to race second last. Continued rearward when the closest to the center of the track, was over 7L from lead entering last section & made no ground.
10TELECOM POWER  M F Poon  (H1)

Was slow to begin by a few lengths and raced at the tail. Continued last and 9L from the lead entering last section, made no ground and was beaten that margin on the line when finishing last.
