Comments

1JADE PHOENIX  K C Leung  (CP/TT)

Pushed forward to lead. Held a 2L advantage at half-way, straightened a similar margin in front, held off late closer to win by a short head.

2TURIN WARRIOR  R Maia  (B/XB)

Had a nice run in midfield away from the rail throughout. Eased wider entering last section when just over 3L behind, closed very strongly down the outside when hanging inwards in final stages & only missed by a SHd on line.

3HAPPY JAI JAI  M L Yeung  (TT)

Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Moved off the rail entering the last section when 3.5L from the lead, closed off well to be beaten just over a length.

4RED IMPACT  Z Purton  (V/XB/TT)

Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Improved to second on straightening when 2L behind, battled on well, probably holding deficit to the line when finishing 4th.

5SEATOSKY  A Hamelin  (CP1)

Bounded & lost 2L at start before shifting behind runners to race just worse than midfield along the rail. Continued along rail when 5L behind on cornering, was making steady late ground before racing tight late, beaten 3L.

6OVER THE MOON  C Y Ho  (B/TT)

Raced just worse than midfield away from the rail. Hard ridden passing the 400m mark when over 6L from the lead before making some late ground in final stages to be beaten just under 4L in midfield.

7RUN THE TABLE  H N Wong  (H)

Had a nice run 1,1 before moving three wide to avoid stopping horse near the 700m. Continued in a group of three chasing leader on cornering when about 2L behind before peaking on effort at the 150m & weakening late.

8YEE CHEONG WARRIOR  M F Poon  (CP/XB)

Steadied after the start & taken back to race second last. Slightly hampered near the 500m by the tiring horse, shifted outwards after cornering before making up some ground to be beaten 4L in midfield.

9CHARIZARD  A Badel  (B/TT)

Steadied form outside gate at the start & taken back to a clear last early. Passed the stopping rival near the 400m when 9.5L from the lead before halving margin but only passing one or two in the run to the line.

10BALLISTIC MAN  L Currie  (B/H/TT)

Raced third on the rail soon after the start. Moved to second place near the 750m but still 2L behind the lead set by winner. Hung out when ridden along before straightening before weakening out poorly in the straight.

11REGENCY MASTER  H Bentley  (B/TT)

Drifted back & raced third last in early stages. Moved wider to avoid stopping horse near the 450m, continued near the back on cornering when a long way behind before making no headway & being eased down late, see report.

12MORE THAN ENOUGH  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Pushed forward to race second. Began losing ground from the 700m before quickly dropping back through the field & finishing a distant last. (Substantial blood in traches & irregular heart rhythm, must trial).
