Comments

1MEGA BONUS  Z Purton  (V)

Pushed forward to lead, shrugged off immediate challenger on straightening, was a length clear at the 100m & had just enough in hand to win by a head from closing rival.

2SUNNY AND GOLD  A Hamelin  (TT)

Had a nice run 1,1. Closed well in final stages to fall only a head short on the line.

3HARDLY SWEARS  H Bentley  (CP/TT1)

Raced just worse than midfield away from the rail before moving three wide with cover around bend. Closed off well in the straight to move to third beaten under a length.

4COMMANDING MISSILE  C L Chau  (B/H/TT1)

Raced in midfield between runner throughout. Closed steadily all the way to the line & was only beaten 2L.

5SIGHT HERO  L Currie  (B/TT)

Drifted back, was third last away from the rail for the majority. Hampered & crowded making 600m turn. Shifted outwards for clear running approaching the 200m before finishing off well in concluding stages, only 2.5L behind.

6STRIVE FOR GLORY  M F Poon  (P/TT)

Raced very wide & without cover for first 300m before being steadied & taken right back to second last near 800m. Shared last place from 600m, swung widest on corner before making ground from last (Rider quest'd, see report).

7SPEEDY FORTUNE  A Badel

Had a nice run third on the rail throughout. Stayed close to the rail in straight, battled on ok to not be beaten far in midfield.

8AMAZING INNOVATOR  C Y Ho  (XB/TT)

Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Finished off only steadily in the straight & wasn't beaten far but never looked likely.

9UNIVERSAL CROWN  L Hewitson  (B)

Steadied from outside gate & taken back to last. Shared last place from the 600m when racing along the rail. Was about 6L behind approaching corner before halving that margin despite finishing with only three rivals behind.

10TRIUMPHANT RETURN  M Chadwick  (XB-/CP1/TT1)

Got back to race worse than midfield along the rail throughout. Stayed along the rail approaching the corner when 5L behind, made no genuine headway & finishing third last.

11COMPASSION SUPER  M L Yeung  (B1)

Showed early speed to share the lead early before racing at the leaders quarters from the 850m. Dropped off the leader/winner on straightening before weakening out in the last furlong. Too keen with blinkers – rider.

12WIND SPEEDER  K C Leung  (XB1)

Was trapped racing three wide without cover in midfield throughout. Was pushed 4 and 5 wide just before cornering before weakening out to be last after covering additional ground.
