From wide draw steadied early stages for cover, held up behind mid-division, closed off strongly passing 300M, narrowly beaten.

Crowded for room on jumping, settled ahead of midfield, held up for clear running early straight, battled on well over final 300M, got up for 4th near line.

Soon led, pressed by rival from 1000M, kept on steadily turning in, headed by winner near 300M, stayed in contention for minor placings until no extra late stages.
