Began well from the widest gate sharing early pace, kicked 1L clear half-way out and drew further away passing the 300 metres, won easily.

2JOLLY BANNER  M F Poon  (B)

Settled about 2L off the pace towards the end of the small field, commenced move inside the final 400 metres, ran on to reach 2nd just inside the 200 metres but never threatening.

3GOLD CHEST  A Badel  (CP/TT)

Settled just over 1L off the pace behind the leaders, came under pressure when about 2L back in 4th over 400 metres out, never able to quicken to threaten.
4BIG PARTY  Z Purton

Restrained up 1L off the pace without cover near the centre of the track, became 2nd in a similar position coming onto the course proper, unable to sustain effort and folded up quickly inside the final 200 metres.
5WISHFUL THINKER  K C Leung  (B)

Badly crowded at the start losing ground, shifted out onto stands rails at the back 700 metres out and improved to be just off the pace, found no extra under pressure inside the final 400 metres.

6YEE CHEONG BABY  M Chadwick  (P-/TT)

Badly crowded at the start but soon recovered to share the pace far off the stands rails, dropped out from over 400 metres out.

7VICTORIAM  C Y Ho

Crowded after a moderate start before settling close up in 3rd, weakened under pressure inside the final 400 metres. (Questioned for disappointing performance) (Blood in trachea)
