Obtained good position in midfield between runners. Under 2L from lead entering last section, held up between runners, unbalanced & bumped when getting clear before rocketing home final 100m to snare lead final strides.

2HARD PROMISE  C L Chau  (CP-/TT2)

Ridden forward, assumed lead after 100m before crossing to rail soon after. Travelled well when enjoying slow sections in middle stages. Continued to hold narrow lead until being caught by winner in final two strides.
3LUCKY QUALITY  C Schofield

Got good run on leaders back throughout early & middle stages. Obtained running along the rail inside the leader & continued to finish off steadily in late stages to hold narrowly beaten third.

4HERO STAR  N Callan  (TT1)

Began well, before racing second outside the leader. Continued only a neck from the lead passing the 300m before peaking approaching the 100m & giving a length or two late. Not beaten far.
5FEARLESS FIRE  B Shinn  (B)

Not fast away before settling in midfield, two pairs back on rail. Entered last section 2.5L from lead, shifted away from inside near the 300m before finishing only fairly to midfield in late stages.
6EASY FIT  J Moreira

Caught wide without cover in midfield before improving position nearing 800m. Continued to cover additional, 1.5L from lead on turn, raced tight, bumped & unbalanced near 300m when peaking on run before tiring thereafter.

7FLYING SPIRIT  M F Poon  (XB)

Shifted back after the start & raced at the tail. Second last entering last section, passed a few tiring runners but made no relative ground & was well held.
8LUCKY PUZZLE  K Teetan  (B)

No early speed & settled third last between runners. Keen passing the 800m when 3.5L from lead. Moved into clear running on straightening before weakening in final 300m to be well beaten. (Blood in trachea post-race).
9CAN'T TOUCH THIS  M L Yeung

Raced in midfield, three wide with cover throughout. Ridden along on cornering, entered last section under 3L from lead before weakening out to second last over 9L behind.
10PLANET FLYER  C Wong  (B)

Began only fairly, crowded & lost ground consequently racing at tail. Failed to improve in straight & weakened out to be beaten nearly 10L last.
