Taken back early to sit worse than midfield, 3 off the fence. Towards the rear of the field rounding the turn, showed tremendous turn of foot from the 400m. Too strong late, and still looked to have something in hand.

Began OK and settled midfield, on the fence. Running on well in the straight, and forced a run at the 200m when blocked. Ran on well late, only outpaced by winner, and easing when clear 2nd near line.
3METALLIC STAR  K C Leung  (H/TT)

Dropped back from the jump to eventually sit midfield, 3 wide with cover. Ran on steadily in the straight.
4UP AND COMING  H N Wong  (B/TT)

Only fairly away, but pushed forward to placed 2nd 2.3L off leader at the 800m. Well clear of the majority of the field on the turn. Began a run at 350m, but slightly 1 paced and lost a place late.
5NUMERO UNO  G Mosse  (B/TT)

Pushed forward from the jump to lead by 2L over 2nd place at the 800m. Lead easily rounding the turn, but faded from the 200m, and was swamped late. Hung out under pressure late.
6NOBLE ALPHA  A Suborics  (P)

Dropped back early to eventually sit worse than midfield, on the rail. No clear run early in the straight, but ran on OK when coming back into the rail. Came onto heels the last 50m, but didn't affect placing.
7TONYBOY  D Lane  (V/XB)

Dropped back from the jump to sit 3rd last, 1 off the fence. Ran on OK late, with minimal urging.
8OUR GENERATION  Y T Cheng  (XB)

Taken back from the wide gate to sit at the rear of the field, 1 off the fence and 10L off the leader. Came widest on the turn, and ran on OK, making up ground late.
9MODERN TSAR  N Rawiller  (V)

Began OK and eased forward to sit handily on the fence early. Began to run on in the straight, but was bumped and unbalanced at the 200m and never recovered, only plugging away late.
10GOLDEN CHOPSTICKS  H W Lai

Eased forward on jumping to sit worse than midfield, 1 off the fence. Under pressure on the turn, and never finished off.
11BEAUTY KING  K C Ng  (TT)

Taken forward from the wide draw to sit forward of midfield, 3 wide with no cover. Pushed from the turn, but never responded and was easing out late.
12OSCAR MIRACLE  C Y Ho  (TT)

OK away and taken forward to sit just behind the leader, 1 off the fence early. Fading by the turn, and never pushed in the straight.
13HARBOUR VICTORY  T H So

Began awkwardly, and positioned at the rear of the field early. Crowded out of a run and lost some ground at 800m. Asked to go at 350m, but had already lost contact with the field, and was eased out late.
14SPICY SURE  Z Purton  (TT)

Began OK, but over raced early when positioned midfield. Eased out of the race from the 250m, and found to have cardiac arrhythmia.
