Raced keenly in a 3-wide position ahead of midfield, quickened well under top weight inside 300M, swept to the front nearing 100M and drew clear. Impressive.

Travelled strongly just behind leader, ideally placed to strike turning in, took over 250M, held every chance and only got picked off by the winner near 100M.
3SUNNY FAY  D Beadman  (XB/H/TT)

Guided to a rearward position 5Ls off the pace after a sluggish start, stayed on steadily final 300M to go 3rd near line.
4TOUCH GO  B Prebble

Held up in midfield, loomed and looked threatening behind leaders 300M out, kept on but turned one paced final 100M, lost 3rd near the finish.
5TALLEY CLOSE  M L Yeung

Dropped back on jumping from draw 14, settled near the rear 5-6Ls off the pace, no clear run to 200M, finished off well when shifted into clear. Encouraging first up.

Positioned along the inside behind midfield, kept on final 400M without getting to the leaders.

Never far off in the group chasing the pace, held up a bit early straight but responded only fairly when shifted out into clear.
