Camped midfield the fence. Switched into clear running back towards the inside soon after straightening and managed to hold on close to the wire after hitting the front near the 100m.
2DIVINITY POWER  B Prebble  (H)

Stalked the leaders, a couple of lengths back, along the paint. Peeled out into clear running after the 350m, hit the front at the 150m. Fought back tenaciously in the last 100m, but came up just short.
3EN MASSE  Z Purton  (B)

Rated behind midfield, 2 wide with cover. Peeled out to into the centre of the course in the straight and let down well.
4EKRAAR EMPEROR  W M Lai  (TT)

Jumped well then drifted back to settle near the rear of the field along the fence. Made up gradual ground prior to the home turn and in the straight ran on well despite hanging out. (See incident report.)
5DEPOT BOY  O Doleuze

Made his run from 2nd last position, 1 off with cover. Switched wide on the home turn and worked home soundly.
6SHANGHAI PIONEER  T Angland  (SR)

From a wide barrier was taken back and settled in last position along the paint. Worked home strongly through the field.

Attacked the speed from the outside gate but was posted 3 wide without cover after the 800m, in the leading trio. Faded approaching the 100M.
8HONOUR LIST  H W Lai  (V)

Camped midfield 3 wide with cover. Whacked away at the same speed in the run to the wire.

Settled midfield, 1 off with cover. Didn't find any extra in the home straight and hung in over the last 200m.

Sent forward and crossed to lead along the fence after the 800m. Was a spent force approaching the furlong.

Began very awkwardly, blundered & lost ground settling worse than midfield, 2 deep with cover. Failed to find any extra in the tank at the business end.
12MING HOI GLORY  D Beadman  (SW/H)

Ridden along early and enjoyed the run of the race on the back of the leaders. Struggled in the run home. (Vet reported mucopus.)

Speared forward and raced in the centre of the leading trio. Was gassed early in the final stretch.

Posted 4 wide without cover on the circle whilst travelling worse than midfield. Never likely.
