Settled mainly 3-wide in midfield to straight, ran on steadily to just get up on line.

Began fairly, ridden along for speed disputing lead from approaching home bend, saved ground turning in hitting front over 200 M out, only to be denied on the line.

Always thereabouts, held every chance early in straight but failed to quicken to challenge throughout closing stages.

Settled on rails in midfield, saved ground and only one off the lead turning home when not much room, shifted out for a clear run 200 M out but failed to quicken to challenge.
5HAPPY FOREVER  M Chadwick  (TT)

Close up early, gradually taken backward to travel in rear of midfield or just worse, remained similar turning in when did not find much room, made up good late ground inside final 200 M to be nearest at finish.
6KING ON EARTH  Y T Cheng  (SR)

Soon taken back to last few after beginning from a wide draw, remained in last few and very wide around the bend, fought on steadily down centre of straight to be nearest at finish.

Always prominent, failed to quicken under pressure in the run home.

Sluggish at start, ridden along to muster, checked and lost ground on rails coming out of back straight, behind midfield rounding home bend, ran home one-paced under pressure.

Slow out, trailed the field to straight, made moderate progress under pressure past beaten runners down the centre of the track.

Soon took up running and held narrow advantage to straight, gradually weakened under pressure after straightening. (Questioned for disappointing performance.)

Began well from the widest barrier, raced wide without cover throughout, with leaders briefly before taken backward to just better than midfield, soon weakened in straight.

Sluggish at start, remained well back, found nothing under pressure in the run home.
