Raced prominently, 3 off the grandstand side. Hit the front approaching the furlong and dug deep to draw away over the final stages for a sound win.
2EAGLE REGIMENT  O Doleuze

Missed the start but recovered to race just behind the speed. Settled towards the middle of the course, loomed up and challenged at the 200m, but was outdueled in the run to the line.
3ALL VICTORY  M Chadwick  (TT)

Settled towards the centre of the course, behind midfield. Responded to riders urgings after the 300m, and finished off well.
4ELUSIVE PRINCE  D Whyte

Stalked the leader towards the outside fence. Kept on one paced to finish in the frame.
5PACKING KID  T H So

Held a position worse than midfield about 6 off the outside rail. Drifted out over the final stages whilst making some ground.
6SHY BALDY  K C Leung  (SW/TT)

Raced close to the speed near the centre of the track. Was a beaten horse after the last 200m.
7FAST INTENTIONS  J Lloyd  (B/TT)

Raced well back along the centre of the course. Made steady headway late.
8VINTAGE HUSSLER  M Guyon

Raced midfield well closer to the inside rail. Failed to make ay impression in the run to the line.
9FAIR NAVIGATOR  G Cheyne  (V/TT)

Didn't show any early dash and maintained a position nearest to the inside close to midfield. Found nothing when asked for an effort over the last 300m. The vet reported mucopus in the horses trachea post race.
10HEALTHY FARM  N Callan

Began awkwardly then settled midfield near the grandstand side. Only plugged to the line.
11LUCKY RECORD  G Mosse

Raced with the leading division early but didn't give much at the business end fading after the last 200m.
12TREASURE GLITTER  C W Wong

Settled in last position near centre of the track. Struggled over the concluding stages.

Led along the grandstand side but weakened sharply over the final 100m.

Raced worse than midfield along the outside fence. never looked likely.
