Broke well and closer than usual 3-back on the rails; 3Ls back at halfway; nearer turning in; quickened up to lead 300m out; stayed on strongly.

10th and 2-wide 5Ls off speed at 1000m; pressured to get closer off last bend; briefly threatened winner 150m out; run peaked; easily held 2nd.

Raced 4-back along rails in 9th at the 1200m; about 4Ls down turning for home; never threatened quinella pair; stayed on best of the rest for 3rd.

Nicely placed in 'one-out-one-back' position in 4th from 1600m to the 1600m; 1L back in 3rd off last turn; had every chance to place.

Raced 5-back along the rails towards rear and at least 6Ls off pace down back straight; ran on past some beaten horses in the straight. (Tactic questioned.)

Rear and 3-wide but with cover at least 5Ls from the pace before the 600m; kept on at same pace in the straight; offered little threat.

Rearward at least 6Ls from the leaders at the 1200m; not much closer on straightening; ran on past a few very tired rivals.

Nicely placed in midfield and appeared to travel well until the 600m; 3Ls down and dangerous off last bend; very weak final 200M.

Slowest away; 3-wide but with cover in midfield in middle stages; 4Ls back and still mid-div turning in; found very little off the bit.

Box-seated in 3rd place on the rails from the 1600m to the last bend; failed to quicken up and gone before the 200m.

Disputed the lead at the 1600m; pace was solid; led by a neck at halfway but struggling before the last turn and faded out.

Settled 8Ls or so last at the 1600m; widest and still rear turning for home; never landed a blow.

Trapped 3-wide no cover for the duration; 4Ls back in 5th at the 1200m but struggling to keep up turning for home and soon beaten.

Led early on fence; disputed decent pace or a neck 2nd until 600m; hard pressed to hold position off last turn; dropped out. (Blood in trachea.)
