Broke well from middle draw. Raced up with the pace before taken back for cover in 6th approaching home bend. Well placed to challenge turning in and quickened nicely to assert authority closing stages.

Settled in forward of midfield. Quickened well inside final 250 M to just fail to get up on line.
3BERIO  B Prebble  (B/XB)

Jumped well from wide draw and with leaders briefly. Soon taken back towards rear. Ran on well down centre of straight to be nearest at finish.
4MERIDIAN PRIDE  G Mosse  (B)

Never far off, racing 2-back on rails rounding home bend. Closer order on heels of leader turning in before hitting front 200 M out. Unable to sustain effort closing stages and swamped late. Jockey charged for eased up too soon.
5VIKING TOR  D Beadman  (SW)

Began with others from wide draw. Well there and soon driven to take up running and cross for rails approaching home bend. Held lead until headed passing 200 M. (Tactic questioned.)

Soon taken to last few on rails. Ran on down inner of straight to be nearest at finish.

Soon taken to rear from widest draw. Trailed the field to straight. Made modest headway down centre of track past well beaten horses.

Moderate jump but soon recovered to lead on rails. Ceded advantage to hold one-back position around home bend. Kept on before faded under pressure over 200 M out.
9COUNTRY MAGIC  E Saint-Martin  (TT)

Began with others from wide draw. Settled for midfield position two off the rails. Dropped out tamely after straightening.

Settled behind midfield. Kept on well in the run home.

Broke well to race with leaders far side. Shuffled back to one-out-one-back position coming out of back straight. Similar turning in but soon dropped out tamely.

Began from wide draw and settled wide in last few. Made no impression in the run home.

With leaders racing wide down far side. 3 wide in 2L 4th making home bend. Soon folded up after turning in.

Slightly slow out and soon ridden to gain rails run in rear of midfield. Gradually faded after straightening.
