3-wide with cover in midfield and 4Ls behind at halfway, closer and going well turning in, led 200 M out and never going to be headed thereafter, tidily.

Worst to begin, 13th about 8Ls off early pace, 5Ls down and into clear running at 400 M, stayed on fairly well, never likely to catch winner.

Went back early on, worse than midfield 3-wide with cover at the 400 M when 4Ls down, stayed on fairly well for a place. (Questioned.)

Box-seated in 4th on fence at 1400 M and 2Ls down in 4th turning for home, one-paced on the run-in.

Disputed early pace at 1400 M and left in front before entrance to home straight, headed at the 200 M and nothing more to offer late on.

Quietly ridden, 8Ls last at 1200 M, 7Ls down turning for home and made some fair late ground through plodders in the stretch.

4-back on rails about 5Ls off speed from 1000 M to home straight, behind horses for final 400 M, didn't appear to be going well enough in any case. (Tactic questioned.)

Midfield about 4Ls adrift with cover at 1000 M and same turning for home, always outpaced.

'One-out-one-back' in 3rd at 1400 M, going well when 2Ls back turning for home, didn't find much off the bridle and swamped final 150 M.

Behind midfield about 4Ls off speed at 1200 M and one from rear turning in, didn't have much room and not fully tested even if he was held anyway.

4-wide without cover throughout, around midfield and 4Ls from the speed until straightening, extra work exacted its toll in closing stages.

3-back on fence about 4Ls down in 6th at 1200 M, never likely to improve this position in the final 600 M.

Somehow ended up 3-wide no cover from gate 3 at 1000 M, close-up in 2nd or 3rd from 800 M to home turn, weakened, later diagnosed a "roarer". (Tactic questioned.)

Hard pressed to dispute early running but weakened out of prominent role before final bend and dropped out tamely, unacceptably bad effort.
