Tracked leaders in 3rd, quickened well to hit the front 300 metres out, won comfortably.

Recovered swiftly along the rail from slow start to reach 3.5L 7th 1000 metres out, shifted out for a run entering straight, ran on well under pressure to reach 2nd 100 metres out but never threatening.

Settled in midfield in 8th about 4L off the pace, obtained a run between runners 300 metres out, ran on steadily without threatening.

Soon took up running and led to the 800 metres when narrowly headed, remained in close-up 2nd to straight, kept on before finding no extra inside final 150 metres.
