Showed speed at the start to lead early before being headed near the 850m & racing second thereafter. Regained lead near 250m mark & dug deep under hard riding to hold narrow advantage on line. |

Raced on the leaders back around first bend before slightly further back in middle stages. Stayed along rail in the straight, made closing ground all the way to line but fell a Short Head behind on line when second. |

Was trapped racing three wide without cover throughout. Continued to cover additional ground around bend, was the widest on straightening when 3L from lead, closed well to be beaten a length after tough passage. |
