Settled on rail 6th in midfield, gained some 1L closer leaving the Rock and saved ground turning for home, ran on under pressure to prevail in the bobbing of heads in a 3-way finish.

2LOVERO  Y L Chung  (TT)

Began well settling about 2L off the pace in 3rd turning into back straight, came to challenge upon straightening gaining slender advantage inside final 500 metres only to be pipped at the finish.

3RED HARE KING  A Badel  (TT)

Jumped well from a low draw but soon taken back to 5th some 4L off the pace in back straight, hung very wide making final turn, ran on resolutely to just fail to get up on line.
4ESCAPE ROUTE  H Bentley  (H)

Settled in 7th in midfield, commenced move rounding home bend but did not find much room behind runners in straight until about 200 metres out, unable to quicken to challenge closing stages.

5GALAXY WITNESS  K Teetan

Soon dropped to last few despite ridden early stages, commenced move approaching home turn swinging wide into straight, ran on well between runners, tightened on the line.

6STAR CONTACT  A Hamelin  (CP/TT)

Travelled 3-wide in last few early stages before settling in 9th 2-wide in back straight, one of the widest turning for home, made up good ground under pressure despite inconvenienced 250 metres out.

7PRIME MINISTER  K C Leung  (TT)

Settled towards rear on rail after moderate start, commenced move over 800 metres out and snuck within 2L of pace early in straight, had no more to give inside final 200 metres.

8TOURBILLON PRINCE  L Hewitson  (TT)

Pressed forward from a poor draw to take up running on the rail rounding first bend setting a sound pace, led until unable to sustain effort and overhauled inside final 200 metres.

9GLORIOUS JOURNEY  M Chadwick

Midfield early, pulled forward rounding first bend before settling in 4th about 2L off the pace into back straight, unable to sustain inside final 400 metres.

10LOYAL BABY  M L Yeung  (TT)

Jumped awkwardly from the widest draw before settling at the back, remained in last into straight, only ran past well-beaten horses.

Began well from the one draw settling just off the pace, came under pressure rounding home bend, weakened noticeably after straightening.
