Began nicely settling some 4L back in 5th in early quick tempo, closer when pace steadied 800 metres out, commenced move 3-wide around home bend, sustained effort from wider into straight and led over 200 metres out.

2RISING FROM ASHES  C Y Ho  (CP/H/TT)

Travelled forward in wide after beginning from a poor gate, obtained cover towards the rear coming onto first bend 1300 metres out, commenced move passing the 550 metres running widest into straight, finished off the race well.

3STORM LEGEND  H Bentley

Jumped awkwardly losing ground, settled in midfield on the rail, closer to pace when tempo steadied inside the 800 metres, some 2L back rounding home bend and into straight, quickened well under pressure to hold every chance.

4GIFT OF LIFELINE  S De Sousa  (B)

Settled in last few from a wide gate and waited with, commenced move 3-wide at the 450 metres, one of the widest at the back turning for home, made significant progress down the centre of the track and did best work late.

5WINNING DRAGON  M F Poon  (H/TT)

Crowded at start but pressed on to obtain prominent position just off the pace in 3rd on the rail despite minor interference, trailed the leader into straight and unable to sustain effort inside final 100 metres.

6SUPER MISSION  V Borges  (H/TT)

Began well from the one draw, gradually settled two back in 4th drifting further off the pace briefly when race leader pulled away early in back straight, some 2L back in 5th home bend and wider into straight, kept on same pace.

7LOYAL BABY  M Chadwick  (TT)

Broke well from a wide gate, settled 2-wide in midfield 7th before commenced move 3-wide home bend, wider into straight and fought on steadily without threatening.

8BEAUTY CHAMP  L Hewitson  (SR-/XB-/H/P1/TT)

Soon took lead obtaining rails run passing the winning post the first time, travelled keenly in front with quick tempo until settling better from the 800 metres, led the field until headed over 200 metres out.

Steadied at the start settling in last few on the rail, commenced move at the 400 metres but could only fight on steadily in straight without threatening.

Travelled well back after beginning from the widest gate, saved ground turning for home, improving when baulked for a run between 200 and 100 metres, made no further impression stages.

Pressed forward from a wide gate as per alleged instruction obtaining one back 2-wide position coming onto first bend, gained slightly closer around home bend but dropped away quickly inside final 250 metres.

Quickly obtained rails run just worse than midfield after moderate start, saved ground on the rail turning for home, baulked for a run between 200 and 100 metres, made no further impression closing stages.
