Had a nice run in midfield away from rail. Moved up to take lead at passing the 200m mark & had enough in hand to win by a neck.
2HERCULES  A Badel  (B/TT)

Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Moved into clear running on straightening before closing strongly between runners in the final 150m to charge to fast finishing second late.
3SPICY GRILL  M Chadwick  (B/TT)

Didn't have the speed of others & raced second last along the rail. Moved away from the rail just before straightening, shifted out wider into clear running near 200m before closing strongly late, only beaten half length.
4NORDIC COMBINED  L Hewitson  (B/TT-)

Got back to race third last when between runners. Shifted to be the second widest on straightening when still near the back before making some late ground down the outside to be fourth.
5COLONEL  V Borges

Began fast & had lead momentarily before being steadied at first bend & racing third behind two fast leaders. Was within a length of the lead at the 200m mark before being over-run by fast closers.

6AMBITIOUS HEART  C L Chau  (B/TT)

Raced wide in midfield around first bend before being steadied & racing two wide with cover from the 850m. Finished off steadily to midfield but was never a threat.
7CHICKEN DANCE  K C Leung  (B)

Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Stayed along the inside on straightening when about 3L behind before weakening a length in the run to the line.

8KOKUSHI MUSOU  K H Chan  (H/TT)

Hard ridden from second widest barrier to the take lead after first corner when racing wide. Was joined & shared the lead from 700m, regained outright lead at 300m, weakened last 150m after doing too much early. See report.
9UNIVERSAL CROWN  M L Yeung  (B)

Crowded at start before drifting back and raced three wide and third last for the majority. Taken widest on cornering when still rearward and made no real headway, only maintaining deficit to the line.
10SHENZHOU TWELVE  H T Mo  (B1)

Drifted back from widest gate & raced last. Came under hard ridding before the 400m mark & did nothing in the straight. Well beaten second last.
11SIX BEST FRIENDS  H W Lai  (B/TT)

Hard ridden to challenge for lead but couldn't hold out rival. Maintained the rail & improved to share lead from 700m when racing very keenly. Was beaten on straightening & weakened badly, last. Rider questioned, see report.
