Raced third last away from rail. Eased wider on straightening, dashed strongly between runners at 150m before charging to lead in final 50m to win drawing away.

2CIRCUIT SPIRITANTO  M F Poon  (B1)

Trapped racing wide in midfield before being left without cover & then working very hard to improve & race outside the leader from 650m. Moved up to narrow lead near 175m before over-run by fast closer, brave to hold second.

3LOYAL AMBITION  C Y Ho  (B/H/TT)

Raced outside lead early before getting trail on leaders back from the 950m. Shifted over the heels of the leader passing the 250m before closing off steadily to narrowly miss second.

4MEDIC ELITE  L Ferraris  (PC/TT)

Raced rearward early before continually improving in middle stages when covering additional ground. Left without cover from 650m, improved to be third, 1L behind at the 500m before battling on bravely in final stages.

5SPEED FORCE  V Borges  (B)

Raced 1,1 after the first bend but shuffled a pair further back after 700m. Moved into three wide line approaching the 600m, was hard ridden before straightening before boxing on well all the way to the line to be beaten under 3L.

6GOLDEN FOUR  A Hamelin

Shifted behind runners to the rail soon after start & raced just worse than midfield along the inside. Was hard ridden passing 600m, moved off rail soon after, shifted wider for clear running 200m before closing ok in late stages.

7THE JOLLY  L Hewitson  (B-/VO1/TT)

Pushed forward to lead. Headed near 175m before weakening a few lengths in late stages.

8MISTER ARM  M Chadwick

Improved position after the start, worked hard before racing at leaders quarters from 900m. Got some cover near 650m but came under pressure soon after. Looked beaten on straightening but finished off one paced to be beaten 3.5L.

9PAKISTAN ZINDABAD  Z Purton  (B/TT)

Raced in midfield between runners early before moving into three wide line with cover passing 800m. Was forced wider passing the 600m before losing position around the 500m bend. Finished off only one paced & was never a threat.

10BEST FOR YOU  K C Leung  (B)

Steadied at start & taken back to race second last along the rail. Shared last place from 600m, was awkwardly placed on heels just before straightening, shifted back down to rail at 200m, but couldn't make any further headway.

11LEISURE AND GOLD  C L Chau  (H-)

Began awkwardly before being taken back behind runners & racing at the rail. Continued last on cornering but made no headway & was second last.

12FELIX THE KING  L Currie  (CP/TT)

Raced in midfield along the rail throughout. Continued along the inside on straightening but did nothing & weakened to last.
