Steadied after first furlong and shifted in to get cover when racing in midfield. Eased wider on cornering when nearly 4L from the lead before finishing strongly to dash to lead inside final 50m. Strong win.
2DIAMOND BRILLIANT  A Hamelin  (CP-/B2/TT)

Had good position on the rail just behind the fast early speed. Improved along inside to assume lead when travelling strongly near the 450m. Raced 2L clear on straightening, before being caught in final 5 strides. Big run.
3CANTSTOPTHEFEELING  N Callan  (B/TT)

Raced in 4th position in the clear behind fast early speed. Stayed close to the inside on straightening before making up a few lengths in the straight to be just behind in third.

4GREEN AEON  J Moreira

Hard ridden to race prominently, held second between runners with leader working hard on outside. Dropped 2 lengths behind leader on straightening before emptying out soon after. Probably did too much work early.
5POISED TO STRIKE  V Borges

Shifted across behind runners from outside gate to race in midfield away from. Over 7 lengths from the lead entering the last section before making up a few lengths in late stages but was too far back to figure.

6FLYING BONUS  K H Chan

Ridden vigorously & worked very hard when racing wide and holding narrow lead. Continued to race wide before being headed in lead by the 450m before weakening out in straight after doing too much in early stages.

7SHANGHAI GRACE  T H So

Was a touch slow to begin & consequently raced at the tail, a long way from the fast leaders throughout. Continued last entering last section, a huge margin from lead before passing a few tiring runners late. Well beaten.

8METRO WARRIOR  Z Purton  (CP)

Stumbled badly & crowded after start consequently losing ground before improving quickly to midfield after the first furlong. Continued in midfield on cornering before weakening out in the straight. Well beaten.
9FLYING GENIUS  K Teetan  (TT)

Began only fairly, had no early speed & raced third last throughout. Continued a long way from lead entering last section before making no headway. Well beaten. (Failed to stretch out-rider). (Must trial, unacceptable perf).
10SUNNY LAD  H T Mo  (B/TT)

Crowded after start before showing no speed & racing at the tail. Ridden along to hold position in fast run middle stages. Shared last place on cornering when a long way behind leaders before making no headway. Long last.
