Comments

1JADE FORTUNE  M L Yeung  (B/H)

Began well, soon taken back for cover just worse than midfield in 7th, fought on dourly to assert authority inside the final 50 metres.

2TURIN REDSTAR  H T Mo  (CP/TT)

Soon came to dispute lead passing the winning post the first time, hit the front entering home straight only to be caught inside the final 50 metres. (Tactic questioned)

3SUPER TURBO  C Y Ho  (CP)

Settled in 8th towards the rear on the rail, came under pressure from rounding home bend, finished off the race well from over 3L back in 7th entering home straight, did best work late.

4SICHUAN DAR  C Wong  (TT)

Settled near last, commenced move approaching the home turn and went widest into the straight, ran on well down the centre of the track to be nearest at finish.

5TIME TO CELEBRATE  S Clipperton

Jumped in the air losing ground, trailed the field to home straight, saved ground turning in, fought on steadily without threatening.

6KINGSFIELD  K Teetan  (XB/TT)

With leaders early, taken back to over 2L back in 5th 2-wide, slightly closer to the pace past the Rock and reached 3rd within 2L of pace entering home straight, kept on until finding no extra inside the final 100 metres.

7WINSTON'S LAD  H N Wong  (H)

Settled 3-wide in midfield with cover, remained in similar position to home bend, dropped to last few when very wide turning in, kept on steadily without threatening.

8CIRCUIT GLORY  U Rispoli  (H/TT)

Held narrow lead on the rail to the 400 metres, faded gradually in straight. (Questioned for disappointing performance)

9SUPER FLUKE  G van Niekerk

Broke well from the one draw and but was sluggish and given a reminder, travelled 2L back in 4th on the rail most of the way to home straight, came to challenge under pressure but weakened inside the 200 metres.

10SEVEN HEAVENS  C Schofield  (H/TT)

Began well from the widest gate, travelled prominently and wide without cover most of the way to home bend, dropped out under pressure from over 400 metres out.
