3-wide going into the 1st turn, no cover from 1400M and improved to be outside leader after 700M, fought on gamely in straight holding off pursuers from both sides to score.

2FRIENDS OF KA YING  Z Purton  (B2)

Guided to the fence soon after the start, held up towards rear about 6Ls away, chased leaders willingly entering straight to be nearest at the finish.

3MULTI FACETS  K C Ng  (TT)

Positioned ahead of midfield, remained in touch turning home, lay in under pressure 150M and had to be straightened up by jockey, re-grouped and found the line strongly late, just missed 2nd.

4LUCKY TIME  H N Wong  (B)

Tracked leaders along the fence, loomed a chance 200M, stuck to task well and only edged out to 4th in a close finish.

5PLANET STAR  K C Leung

Crossed to the lead 1200M, had uncontested lead to 700M, kept battling away for the lead until faded final 50M.

6GENERAL DINO  D Whyte  (B)

Held up 2-wide in midfield 3-4Ls behind leaders, stayed on moderately to the line but well held by first few.

7RIGHT HONOURABLE  A Sanna  (H/P/TT)

Guided to a midfield spot along the rails, 4Ls to make up 400M, brought wide, made some ground in the finish without seriously threatening.

8WINSTON'S LAD  C Y Ho  (H)

Not hurried after the jump, settled down towards the rear 6Ls off the pace, made limited progress from 300M, never reached leaders.

Rolled forward after the jump, raced prominently just outside of leader, kept on same speed only entering straight, no longer a threat passing 200M.

10TOP LAURELS  N Callan

Tracked the pace in 5th, always within 3Ls of leaders, under the pump 400M but found nothing, weakened away. (Lame LF leg.)

11LITTLE DRAGON  W M Lai

Dropped back from wide draw, in rear pair 8Ls off the pace, bustled along home turn but didn't pick up and never any impression.

Taken back from wide barrier to be racing at the back of the field 8-9Ls off the pace, didn't respond to urging passing 400M, never in the picture.
