Settled just better than midfield on the rail, saved ground rounding home turn, ran on under pressure between runners to hit the front close to home. (Questioned for improved performance)

2DASHING DART  K C Leung  (B)

Held up just off the pace in 3rd on the rail, remained similar turning into straight, hit the front under pressure 200 metres out, led until headed over 50 metres out.

3ELECTRIC LIGHTNING  K Teetan  (B)

Shared early pace down the centre of back straight, crossed to lead on the rail and steadied pace from the 1100 metres, led until headed passing the 400 metres, just held on for 3rd.

4RED ELYSEES  S Clipperton  (B)

Jumped awkwardly from a wide gate settling at the back, circled field when pace slackened from the 1100 metres, widest runner into straight when 2.5L 6th turning in, kept on steadily without quickening.

5NAMJONG PLUS  M L Yeung

Moderate start, settled just worse than midfield, raced awkwardly when pace slackened before taking closer order around home bend, switched wide for a run after straightening, fought on steadily without threatening.

6VIVA COUNCIL  M Chadwick  (H)

Held narrow lead early, taken one back to 2nd 1100 metres out, renewed effort to hit the front again passing the 400 metres, but unable to sustain effort and swamped inside the 200 metres.

7CHARITY WINGS  J Moreira  (B)

Settled just better than midfield in 5th some 4L back, became 7th when pace slackened on the bend, switched out for a clear run when within 3L of pace 300 metres out, kept on steadily without quickening.

8HINYUEN SWIFTNESS  U Rispoli  (B/TT)

Broke well, soon taken back to midfield on the rail, inconvenienced in general bunching coming onto home bend, fought on steadily to the line.

Settled in midfield, suffered from slow pace and lost position coming onto home bend, dropped to last few turning for home, kept on well past beaten horses.
