Settled in last few on rails, commenced move and snuck up on rails turning in, finished off race well to assert inside final 100 metres.

2HAPPY SOUND  J Moreira  (B/E1/TT)

Jumped only fairly but took up running after the first 200 metres, obtained rails run coming onto home bend setting a steady pace, kicked about 2L clear after straightening but unable to sustain effort and headed close stages.

3NATURAL FRIENDSHIP  B Prebble  (B-)

Began well and amongst leaders early, steadied to 4th just over 2L back coming onto home bend, soon shaken up and fought on steadily in straight, nearest at finish but never threatening.

4LUCKY PLACE  O Doleuze  (H/TT)

Soon taken back from the widest gate, waited with, made good progress on rails in straight, did best work late.

5NO LAUGHING MATTER  N Rawiller  (B/TT)

Moderate beginning, settled just worse than midfield in 9th, pulled out off heels for steady progress from 300 metres out but hung in under pressure and a difficult ride throughout.

Jumped fairly, settled in forward of midfield, came to challenge upon straightening but could only keep on steadily without quickening.

Raced mainly 3-wide with leaders down far side, travelled just offside the leader around home bend, gave ground steadily in straight.

Broke well from the one draw, niggled along before ceded advantage to assume one-back position on rails coming onto home bend, faded gradually in straight.

Prominent when crowded and lost position early, soon given reminders to hold place in forward of midfield on rails, one-paced in straight.

Broke well from a poor draw, travelled wide in midfield before drifting backward rounding home bend, dropped further back turning in, made no impression in straight.

Jumped awkwardly losing about 3L at the start, soon recovered to rear of midfield along rails, in similar position turning in, had no more to give in straight.

Ridden along from a wide gate racing wide without cover in midfield, widest runner around the bend and into straight, ran home one-paced down the centre of the track.

Close up early before dropping to midfield travelling wide without cover around home bend, made no impression in the run home.
