Taken forward early to be well place 2nd/3rd, 1 off the fence. Nosed in front at the 300m, and challenged mid straight before kicking clear from the 150m to easily score.

Began Ok and not hard ridden early to be handily place in 4th, on the fence with cover. Held up early in the straight, before peeling off at the 300m. 1/2L off the winner at 150m, but couldn't match him late.
3MERION  D Whyte  (B)

Steadied back from the jump to sit 3rd last, 7L off the leader. Plugged away early in the straight before finding a big turn of foot from the 150m, flying home to take 3rd, and closing in on 2nd.
4ALMABABY  Y T Cheng  (TT)

Pushed forward early to assume the lead. Lay out early in the straight, and only went to the line 1 paced.
5KEY WITNESS  N Callan  (B/TT)

Unbalanced on jumping, but recovered to sit just forward of midfield, on the fence. Plugged away solidly in the straight, without threatening a place.
6SUPER LIFELINE  K K Chiong

Drifted across early to sit midfield, 3 wide with limited cover. Only fair in the straight, but started to run on again late.
7I'M IN CHARGE  M Chadwick

OK away and eased forward early to sit in 5th, 3L off the leader. Battled on in the straight, but the tank ran dry at 150m and drifted out of contention.
8COUNTRY MELODY  N Rawiller  (H)

Eased across from the wide draw to sit just behind midfield, 1 off the fence. Had plenty of options at the top of the straight, but 1 paced and went to the line quietly.
9LUCKY DOUBLE EIGHT  C Y Ho  (TT-)

Dropped back early from the wide draw to sit at the rear of the field. Came off heels at the 250m, but was only plugging away and eased late.
10TONYBOY  M L Yeung  (V/TT)

Crowded on jumping and didn't muster early, settling worse than midfield, on the fence. Went searching for a run early in the straight, but ran flat when given clear ground from the 250m.
11AMBER DRAGON  K C Ng  (B/TT)

Didn't kick early and dropped back to sit equal last, on the rail. Never produced in the straight, and eased late.
12HELLA HEDGE  C K Tong  (B)

Blundered badly on jumping, with jockey badly unbalanced. Managed to get forward to be 2nd, but never better than 3 wide with no cover. Race was run by the turn, and faded out quickly in the straight.
